Foundation student, Education Policy Intern, and first-generation Mexican-American Karina Arango was featured as Latina to Watch in ¡en Contacto!, the official magazine of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan St. Louis. Karina graduated from Fontbonne University in spring 2015 and has advocated throughout Missouri on the importance of equal access to postsecondary financial aid opportunities for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Karina’s work has been recognized in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Kansas City’s Fox News, the Columbia Daily Tribune and Nine Network of Public Media.
