The Scholarship Foundation extends an enthusiastic congratulations to the graduating spring class of 2016. This graduating class has extra meaning for The Scholarship Foundation this year as Foundation Executive Director Faith Sandler and Foundation Student Advisor Robert Elam join over 180 Foundation students in receiving degrees.

Both Faith Sandler and Robert Elam will receive degrees from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL). Faith Sandler will receive an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters for her work in expanding the opportunity for students to enter higher education – particularly low-income students and others in Missouri whose life circumstances present barriers to such access.

Robert Elam will receive a Master in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Robert’s graduate research focused on community development; evaluation of an affordable housing program; and developing evidence-based strategies to promote regional collaboration to maximize the impact and awareness of the Greater St. Louis Community Development Financial Institutions Coalition.
